Dollar Wise Quality Cleaners opened for business in May, 1998. Two full service plants are operated at 1150 Nairn Avenue and 115 Pembina Highway. Nineteen depots are located around Winnipeg and the surrounding area.

On Earth Day, Dollar Wise successfully converted the drycleaning side of its operations to an Aqueous solvent called DRYSOLV. The principal component of DRYSOLV is n-Propyl Bromide. n-Propyl Bromide has been shown to neither deplete the ozone layer nor contribute to global warming. Its cleaning power is stronger than the solvent used today. Less energy is required as the cleaning times are shorter and the temperatures lower. This benefits clothing through less agitation and less expansion and contraction of fibres.
